Responsible for ensuring that all products delivered from a supplier comply with manufacturing and engineering specifications and company standards. Provides recommendations for improvements to meet program objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform internal audits.
- Drive supplier quality performance, including new product development and product quality improvement.
- Provide leadership and management for the supplier quality department.
- Ensure the supplier meets all regulatory and company requirements.
- Perform quality system audits.
- Maintain supplier quality records as needed.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Review IATF 16969 documentation, instructions, procedures and quality manuals, and ensure operations are in compliance.
- Provides support to IATF 16949 activities.
- Customer quality issues and problem solving to include customer communication & customer visits as required.
- Investigate/support containment, root cause analysis, and permanent corrective action activities required by either internal or external customer concerns.
- Promote initiatives to improve quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
- 5 plus years of work experience in quality assurance.
- Experience in automotive seating preferred
