Maintenance Team Lead

To perform activities associated with maintaining the equipment and plant to ensure that its operation meets the needs of the manufacturing processes. Supervise the execution of preventative maintenance activities as performed by maintenance technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide daily support to plant operations.
- Assist department manager in ensuring maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to ensure maintenance duties are accomplished in a timely, and cost- effective manner.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures to ensure zero injuries or incidents.
- Troubleshoot and repair problems with plant machinery & equipment.
- Implementation and installation of new and rebuilt equipment.
- Assist department manager with generating daily and weekly work plans and schedules.
- Ensure proper parts and materials are requisitioned to complete planned jobs.
- Operate machinery, tools, gages, forklift equipment and booms.
- Maintain department inventory and monitor that all tools are returned after use in appropriate condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and estimating.
Competencies
- Technical Capacity
- Advanced equipment troubleshooting skills
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 requirements.
- Familiarity with automotive specifications
- Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic systems sufficient to diagnose and repair machines.
- Computer skills and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks required.
- Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on the plant floor.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Ability to sit and view computer screen for lengths at a time. Must be able to climb ladders, operate forklift, operate scissor lift, and work at elevations of 70 feet.
