Advanced Manufacturing Controls Engineer

To support, improve, develop, research and test electrical components, equipment, and systems on the plant floor to meet production needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Supports in driving controls equipment standardization across all manufacturing processes in CAMACO.
- Develop standard documentation for control architecture for standard equipment (welding equipment, assembly equipment) to meet all the safety requirements and Camaco Standards
- Develop guidelines to ensure common coding is used in our equipment.
- Update our guidelines and standards based on lessons learned and new technology availability.
- Provide daily support to plant operations supporting Corporate and plant specification goals.
- Plan and implement all controls related activities.
- Supports implementation and installation of new and rebuilt equipment.
- Continuous improvement of equipment and processes towards improving reliability and technology.
- Ensure that the process works safely and efficiently in accordance with the specifications.
- Plan preventive maintenance for the existing equipment
- Coordinate with others to determine the problems and implement solutions.
- Maintains communication with work groups to assure proper implementation of projects.
- Responsible for IATF16949 documentation requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering /Mechatronics Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent training required.
- Technical certification with PLC or CNC Controls preferred
- Experience with LabView is a plus
- 5 plus years of work experience in Controls Engineering with plant floor experience.
- Experience in automotive seating.
- Experience in integrating equipment from design to concept.

- Working knowledge of NEC and ANSI codes.
- Ability to calibrate controls, communications and diagnostics as needed.
- Familiarity with automotive specifications
- CAD software
- Knowledge of traceability & data tracking
- Ability to make changes to electrical prints as needed.
- Ability to react quickly and problem solve.
- Working knowledge of Basic, C and Visual Basic programming
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers.

- Ability to work in a team and closely with other professionals.
