Position tears down and provides an acid etch inspection on all specified final assemblies and sub assemblies to assure that the welds are to required specifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Tear down and perform acid etch inspection on all required parts according to sampling plan.

• Document all results as required.

• Assist in or conduct the maintenance and cleaning of the Acid Etch/Teardown area.

• Communicate the results with all applicable personnel.

• Assist and contribute with all applicable processes such as FMEA’s, 8 D’s, Non-Conforming Material Procedures

• May be called upon to assist in other duties as needed to ensure quality level of facility activities.

• Shall have the authority to initiate corrective action

• Identify and record any problems or concerns affecting product, process or quality

• Report any unsafe work conditions to the appropriate supervisor and input recommendations for disposition.

• Authority to verify implementations of solutions and release of acceptable products.

• Ability to control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

• Position communicates with plant personnel at all levels.

• Follow all TSI16949 procedures and requirements
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must have HS Diploma or GED
• No more than 2 points
